The Outpatient Physical Therapy team has the development and managerial experience of opening and operating more than 225 physical and occupational therapy clinics in over 30 states in partnership with therapists over the past fifteen years. We understand what it takes to build and operate a successful clinic.

Michael Lang - Michael is the former Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Development at U.S. Physical Therapy a publicly traded company. He was responsible for the identification, development and operation of partner-owned facilities. He is a strong believer in the partner concept and started Outpatient Therapy Partners to focus exclusively on opening clinics with entrepreneurial therapists. He is a CPA and holds a real estate license. Mike is married and has two teenage children.

Pepi Nichols – Pepi was the original controller at U.S. Physical Therapy and was with the company for over twelve years. She developed solid relationships with the therapist partners helping them understand the business side of operating a successful clinic. She managed the day-to-day accounts payable, banking, and payroll responsibilities, allowing the therapist partners to focus on treating patients and building their practices. She helped them to receive the appropriate reimbursement for their services and to assist in the overall impact of collections and cash flow to operate a profitable business. Pepi is married and has two children and four grandchildren.

Kate Akers - Kate is a licensed Occupational Therapist who possesses over twenty-five years of outpatient rehabilitation experience in both hospital and private practice settings.  In addition to her experience as an Occupational Therapist, she also has considerable experience as an operation and clinical director.  Her background also includes business development.  Her special expertise is in the areas of clinical program development, documentation, billing and coding, compliance management and referral development.  She has held senior management positions at both local and national health care organizations.

Darrell Clapp - Darrell comes to Outpatient Therapy Partners with over eight years in healthcare business development.  He loves providing clinic ownership opportunities to therapists who would benefit from the business expertise and resources provided by a partnership.  Darrell was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and received a full scholarship to play football at the University of Houston.  He received Associated Press All American and First Team All Southwest Conference honors as an offensive tackle.
